FAQs

Do I need to be an elite player to join CNS?

CNS is for everybody. We welcome all ages and all abilities to our sessions. Our Long Term Development Plan is designed to help every player reach their highest potential. We have players who just want a pressure-free, fun, enjoyable environment to work on their football skills with their friends, all the way up to players who are aspiring to play League of Ireland football and more. We will do our best to find a space in a group that best suits your child, and what they want to get out of their session.

Which programme is your most popular?

Our Football Specific Plus Program is our most popular programme. Our players enjoy the extra 30 minutes at the start of every session, where the work is targeting at improving movement efficiency and athletic movements skill capabilities. We are very proud to be able to offer this element in our sessions, because we believe it is a key component in our athletes long term development to become successful athletes.

Small group or 121...which should I pick?

Our small group sessions are a key part of our player development. Groups allow us to mimic the team environment, which makes our sessions more sport realistic - a key element in helping a player achieve in their sport.  The small sizes of these groups allow us to provide much more direct and individual feedback to each player, something that often just can’t happen in a full team setting, despite the best efforts of coaches.

121 sessions allow improvements on individual technical and tactical aspects of games. This can be incredibly useful to players, particularly if there is a specific element they are struggling with. 121 session times depend on our coaches availability. Please contact us as outlined here to enquire about spaces.

When and where do your sessions take place?

All our sessions take place in St. Joseph’s Boys, AFC, Sallynoggin. We are not affiliated with any of the teams in St. Joseph’s. During the week, our sessions take place in the afternoons, between 4-5.30pm. Different age groups come in on different days. On weekends, our sessions occur in the mornings.
