Clint Nelson is the founder and Head Coach of CNS Coaching. He has 25 years of experience of playing and coaching soccer. Clint has a great knowledge with coaching young players of all levels of ability and has gained a great understanding of the game through playing at a high level in his younger years and working with some of the top coaches and teams in our country and beyond. With strong connections in UK Academies, Clint certainly knows what is required for a player to achieve his/her goals.

For a relatively young and modern coach it is fair to say that he has experienced a lot from being the director of an Academy with kids as young as 3 years old taking their first steps into the world of football to managing County representative squads. Clint was awarded an SFAI All Ireland Winning Coach in 2012. With an historical DDSL Schoolboy team it has been some journey for him so far but that journey is only beginning.

With the Academy, Clint is enjoying focusing on developing each and every one of his players from an individual point of view. Development is Clint’s number one priority opposed to winning titles. Whilst he believes in a winning mentality, it is important that he acknowledges that winning football matches shouldn’t come at the cost of the player’s developments.
